About Michael

Pastor Michael was born and raised in Oxnard, and he has been attending Embrace for 10 years. Him and his wife, Nicole, started serving in ministry by leading Fire Starters at Pastor Jason's house, and then he began serving as the head deacon in 2020 with Marty Sampson. Currently, as Associate Pastor, Michael says he likes feeling alive and connected to God, and that being part of a Christ-centered culture fills him up in a way that can't be replicated.

The thing that Michael loves most about Embrace is the people. He loves being around people, and the people at Embrace are some of the best. In addition to being at Embrace, Michael loves art, tools, gadgets, and collectibles. He says he enjoys simple days taking in pleasant settings.

His favorite Bible verse is Daniel 12:2-3, which states, “Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.” 

 

The coolest things God has done for him is give him his spunky Chilean wife, who makes him laugh a lot, and his niece, Bella, who is creative and comical to the max. He says his life is full of laughter and very blessed. He also was healed by God from three incurable spine conditions, so he says that's a big one as well!
