About Cristen
Cristen Scherer, Children's Ministry Director at Embrace Church
Her Story:
Cristen was born in Arvada, Colorado, a small town north of Denver. Her and her family have veen attending Embrace Church for a year and a half, and she started her work as our Children's Ministry Director in last August
She calls Embrace "home" because she loves the church's priority on experiencing the presence of God and committment to reaching the community for Jesus.
Her work is meaningful to her because she is passionate about helping the kids at Embrace encounter the love of Jesus and build a strong foundation on the Word of God. She also enjoys getting to hang out with the kids every Sunday and plan fun things to do with them each week.
Besides hanging out with her family, Cristen enjoys reading, hiking, playing sports, and baking all things sourdough. Her favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 3:20, "Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory."
Cristen says that the coolest thing God's done for her is not only save her, but transform every area of her life, and she loves Him so much!
